    Description

At the entrance to Val Gardena hides one of the best singletrail descents of the region. The almost 1700 meters long trail from the Resciesa Chapel to Klausen is a great fun, but the first part requires some riding skills.

Starting point of the supertour to the Raschötz-Trail is Klausen a little south of Brixen. The first part of the route is unspectacular because the first part of the route has to be climbed to St. Ulrich in Val Gardena. This is done on the cycle path to Waidbrück, then on small asphalt roads and finally a few meters on the main road to St. Ulrich. Here the Resciesa funicular railroad helps you over the last meters up to the ridge. A wide trail now leads up to the Rifugio Resciesa. This section is used by many hikers, but the path is wide enough to pass without problems. At the chapel the culmination of the tour is reached and the long descent into the Eisack Valley can begin. And there it is very rough in the first phase. Over countless stone slabs you fight your way downhill for the first part. But with enough suspension travel, wide tires and a cheeky riding style, the section is completely rideable. Finally you reach a plateau, and now the tour changes your character. It becomes flowy without end! And exactly from the point where the trail number 7 branches off. You follow this first-class, flowy forest trail for several kilometers – one of the best trails far and wide, by the way. On a gravel road you change to the trail with the number 7B and continue towards the Gnolhof in the same style. Now the trail gets faster and wider for a short time until it changes into a series of sharp serpentines further down. Soon you have mastered them, the flow continues, the village Gufidaun is passed and finally the downhill shines with a first-class final section to the industrial zone at the bottom of the valley. With a satisfied smile, we are now on the cycle path along the Eisack back to Klausen.
