    Description

People go to Schinznach to take a health cure, but the town between Brugg and Aarau also has something to offer when it comes to single tracks. On the round trip you cover the Gisliflue, the Hombergegg and the Linnerberg.

From Wildegg you cross the Aare and follow it a short way downstream. Past Wildenstein Castle you travel to the north of the large quarry via the Veltheimerberg up to the Gisliflue. Fit bikers make it all the way to the top in the saddle, but those who are less strong will have to push for a few metres over the last section. The descent is initially a bit steep, but then becomes flowing and leads to the Gatter. Rather than staying on the ridge you descend for some way on the track and then climb up to the Hombergergg on forest roads. The descent leads along the northern side of Hombergegg on a mixture of single track, forest and mountain roads through the Hardwald forest to the Linnerberg and finally to the village of Linn. Slightly below the hill the next track begins, leading you to Villnachern as a forest road. Now you follow the marked hiking trails to Schinznach and return along the Aare to Wildegg.
A more attractive route takes you from Schinznach-Bad to Scherzberg, from where you follow the single track along the ridge to the Chestenberg. The final descent to Wildegg Castle is very technical, and less experienced bikers should follow the marked hiking trail just below the ridge.
