    Description

As the highest elevation between Entlebuch and Emmental, the Napf is a must for school trips. A side trip by bike is not only worthwhile because of the breathtaking panoramas: The region also has plenty of trails to offer. This is most impressive on the Napf crossing from Wolhusen to Burgdorf.

From Wolhusen you initially follow the Veloland route along the Kleine Emme river upstream, but then turn right before Doppleschwand and head for a small road through the Fontanne-Tobel. At Hapfig you reach the official mountainbike route (Route 77), which you follow to Stächelegg. The final ascent to the Napf is short and steep, but the view from the summit is stunning. If the visibility is good, you are directly facing the main alpine ridge with its countless glacier peaks. The scenery is particularly beautiful in autumn, when the air is clearer than in the other seasons. From Napf, you now reach the mountain ridge to Hochänzi, Ober Scheidegg and finally Ahorn in an alternation of first-class singletrails and sometimes steep gravel roads. The ridge path also forms the basis for the further course and leads over the Fritzeflue and the Freudigenegg to Wasen in Emmental. Conclusion: The long descent from Napf to Emmental is one of the first-class routes far and wide! To get to Burgdorf, you roll via Sumiswald to Lützelflüh and then follow the left bank of the Emme to the center of Burgdorf.
