    Description

The single-track tour to the Hasenmatt is one of the most beautiful routes in the Solothurn region. The tour can be biked in two parts.

From Solothurn, follow the Aare river in the direction of the current, then turn right at Bellach and start the climb to Lommiswil. If there is still snow at the higher altitudes or if your skill level is not sufficient, a shorter version is possible by continuing past the stone quarry and on toward the Weberhüsli, where this route rejoins the original one on its descent. For the original route, continue upwards along the edge of the Lommiswil forest through the Lochbach ravine until you reach the Schauenburg mountain lodge. The ascent to the Hasenmatt is very steep from this point. Many people choose to push their bikes. You can also push your bike up the mountain lane via Althüsli to reach the Hasenmatt. The descent then proceeds along the ridge trail and later along the forest lane to Hinter Weissenstein. A few meters past the inn, there is a turn to the right leading to a single track that continues across the Nesselboden terrace and then downhill to the Weberhüsli. At this point there is a 130-meter ascent in order to reach the singletrack below the Pechflue to Rüttenen and over the Martinsflue to St. Niklau on the edge of Solothurn.
