    Description

Once on the Goldsee trail, you start on the Stilfserjoch, which you preferably should reach with a shuttle. Important: You have to tackle the exit before nine o‘clock, for after that there is a bike ban in effect on the route to Furkelhütte.
From Stilfserjoch, it goes steeply uphill to the Dreisprachenspitze, where the Goldsee trail begins with the number 20. Initially it leads easily through the high alpine terrain - always in view of the glaciated Ortler mountain - but then it becomes steep and technically difficult to ride over before the Furkelhütte. It goes further from the chairlift summit station on a road and later continues on a single trail to Stilfseralm. Now you climb on a steep way up to the Piz Chavalatsch. For most bikers, this part means 700 metres of getting off and pushing your bike along. But, the effort is worthwhile, and not only because of the fantastic view. The trail number 14 from the summit to Glurnser Alm and advancing on to Glurns means first-class riding fun and is qualitatively more attractive than the mule-track from the Stilfser to Glurnser Alm. The route ends at the historic square of Glurns.

Note: The Goldsee Trail has to be started before 09.00 am, after that it is prohbited for Biker.
