    Durannapass
    Description

The descent from Weissfluhjoch high above Davos to Küblis is one of the most legendary and longest ski runs in Switzerland – in summer, however, it is also a first-class and exceptional singletrail downhill for mountainbikers in an adapted route. The key data: 15 kilometres and 1860 metres depth. The route goes by the name of «Duranna-Run» and is one of the longest mountainbike runs in Graubünden.

We start at the top station of the Parsenn cable car on the Weissfluhjoch. The first section is characterised by a hostile gravel landscape at the foot of the rocky Weissfluh summit. At the Kreuzweg, the scenery becomes a little gentler, but the trail more crisp. This leads over the Casannapass down to the Grüensee. The lovely lake lies in a gentle upland moor landscape and forms the best contrast to the section a little further up. On an easy path, you cross the plateau of the Durannapass to Obersäss. Just behind the alp, the old path begins – a tricky but fun trail. It leads down to Fideriser Duranna and then to Birchenbüelen. This is where the next trail starts. The path leads through the dense forest down to Plandagorz. The finish line in Küblis is 600 metres lower down. One trail now follows the next, hikers are rare in this region, and the trail winds seemingly endlessly through the forest to the banks of the river Landquart on the outskirts of Küblis. 15 kilometres have come together – undisputedly one of the longest singletrail descents in Graubünden. The Rhaetian Railway takes you back to Davos. Ideally you should change to the Gotschna gondola in Klosters and reach Davos via the Panoramaweg and the Meierhof Trail.
