The region of Lai da Vons at the entrance to the Rheinwald valley near Splügen is so beautiful that it served as a backdrop for the film Heidi. You can experience the beauty of the region on the route up to the Cufercalhütte by mountain bike.

At Andeer, start your trip on the old pass road through the Roflaschlucht to Sufers. Although you have to cycle along a narrow strip shared with the motorway here, this disappears into tunnels for the most part. If you want to skip this section, take the postbus instead. From Sufers, continue up the Cufercalhütte on a path up to 1000 metres high, then take a dirt track, and then on a steep cart road to the cabin. The later departure road starts on the ascent route, with the first alpine houses on the left, then the singletrack trail below the Red Turra descends to the Hochebene Seeberg with a turn off to the Lai da Vons. If you want to avoid this trail, the ascent route continues a little further, reaching up to the peak. Now the journey continues to Andeer, passing Burtgas and then onto an old cart road, sometimes an singletrack trail, which is slightly wider in parts, down to the bridge over the Rhine on the outskirts of Andeer.
