    Description

The «Berner Rundfahrt» is the counterpart to the «Many Hill Show» in Zurich. It combines all the single tracks in the city area to form a mountain bike circuit around the city of Bern. No other city tour offers as much variety as the «Berner Rundfahrt».

The tour can be started at any place along the way, in our case at the Grauholz motorway service area. You now head for the banks of the Aare in Worblaufen, follow the river a little downstream and then cross the Bremgartenwald on the Bremen-Loop. From the Eymatt the track climbs upwards along the Gägelbach, and from Riedbach you ride south to Thörishaus station. You bypass Gasel and head towards the Ulmizberg from the south side, taking the downhill bike track into Köniztal for the descent. The next stage is the Gurten, from where you depart for Kehrsatz before crossing the Aare at Belp airfield. Across the Ostermundigeberg you come to Stettlen at the foot of the Bantiger. This is the final climb of the day, but it›s worth it because the summit has a phenomenal panoramic view. Through the Grauholzwald you finally come back to the motorway service area, after covering the whole region around Bern in a single tour.
Note: the route also requires the Berner Seeland map sheet (13).
