    Description

At the entrance to Valtournenche the Becca d’Aver over the Aosta Valley. The summit view is the starting point of a crisp singletrail downhill.

Ideally, you start the tour in Berzin below Torgnon village. On a lane, you initially climb to this and follow the lane to a picnic area with ample parking. Here you change to a gravel road that is so steep on a short stretch that you have to push for a few metres. Later you follow the singletrail to the summit of Becca d›Aver. The bike has to be carried here, but the panorama with the Matterhorn in the background is worth it. The descent leads first on the south side of the mountain on a tricky singletrail to the Col de Bornel and then follows a fast trail to the Col de St-Panthaléon. The upcoming panoramic path to the Puy de St-Evence offers pure riding pleasure. Return to Berzin on the steep north-eastern flank via Praz de Trap. This path is technically steep and exposed in places. This always results in a fantastic view of the Matterhorn.
