    Description

The superficial opinion is that the canton of Aargau hasn't much to offer when it comes to mountain biking fun. The tour from Baden to Olten shows a different view. Flowing singletrails, tricky climbs and the best panoramic views characterise the unusual daily tour.

From Baden railway station, you start riding along local roads up to Allmend and then on to Baldegg. Along the ridge there is the first singletrail fun to Birmenstorf. Here you cross the Reuss river and follow the road to Lupfig, where the ascent up to the Chestenberg begins. Singletrail number two is reached. This leads as a fun path along the mountain ridge down to Wildegg Castle and further into the village centre. Now you cross the Aare river, where you take forest roads and finally a steep gravel track to reach the Gisliflue with its wonderful view of the Mittelland. Singletrail number three leads now, again along the ridge, down to Gatter. From here you climb up to Hombergeregg. Singletrail number four is a special highlight and leads as a varied path down to Küttigen. There is a stretch on the main road in the direction of Bänkerjoch to reach the Wasserflue from the south. Singletrail number five leads again over the mountain ridge, you pass the Salhöhe and later reach the Geissflue. If you only know serpentine trails from the Alps, you will learn better. After the short but crisp descent, there is a longer transfer section to Froburg Castle, where singletrail number seven begins at the ruin. This is the final part of the tour and leads as a first-class flowing path to the Hauensteinroad on the outskirts of Trimbach. From here you follow the main road to the Olten railway station or you take the route through the forest to the south of the village and get singletrail number eight into the tour.
